Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Study Quiz iOS app ("Study Quiz", "the app", "we", "us", or "our"). Study Quiz is provided by Vincent Tietze. You can contact us at vincent.tietze@gmail.com.

1. Acceptance

By downloading, accessing, or using Study Quiz, you agree to these Terms and to any applicable Apple App Store terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

These Terms supplement Apple's Standard End User License Agreement unless a separate custom EULA is published in App Store Connect. If Apple's required terms conflict with these Terms, Apple's required terms apply to the extent of the conflict.

2. What Study Quiz Does

Study Quiz helps you create multiple-choice practice quizzes from study material you provide, such as pasted notes, PDFs, text files, and selected images. The app may use AI services to generate and validate quiz questions.

Study Quiz is a study aid. It does not guarantee that generated questions, answers, explanations, or summaries are complete, accurate, or suitable for any exam, school, university, certification, job, or other purpose.

3. Your Study Material

You are responsible for the material you submit to the app. You represent that you have the right to use and submit that material for quiz generation.

Do not submit material that:

• you do not have permission to use;
• contains passwords, payment details, government identifiers, or private health information;
• is illegal, harmful, abusive, or infringes another person's rights;
• you are contractually or legally prohibited from sharing with third-party AI services.

You retain ownership of your study material. You grant us the limited right to process submitted material only as needed to provide quiz generation, validation, abuse prevention, subscription verification, support, and service operation.

4. AI Output

Study Quiz uses AI to generate and check quizzes. AI output can be wrong, incomplete, outdated, or misleading. You should review generated quizzes before relying on them.

You are responsible for how you use generated quiz content. Study Quiz is not responsible for exam outcomes, academic decisions, professional decisions, or other consequences of relying on generated content.

5. Subscriptions

Study Quiz may offer a monthly auto-renewable subscription called Study Quiz Pro.

Study Quiz Pro provides expanded or unlimited quiz generation while the subscription is active, subject to fair-use, abuse-prevention, backend availability, and technical limits.

Subscriptions are purchased through Apple's in-app purchase system. Payment is charged to your Apple ID. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID account settings.

We do not process payment card details. Refund requests are handled by Apple according to Apple's policies.

6. Free Use and Limits

Free use may be limited, including a daily quiz generation quota and backend attempt limits. Limits may change to prevent abuse, control cost, or maintain service quality.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• abuse, overload, reverse engineer, scrape, or attack the app or backend;
• bypass quotas, subscription checks, or abuse-prevention systems;
• use the app to generate unlawful, harmful, or infringing content;
• use the app in a way that violates applicable law or third-party rights.

We may restrict access if we reasonably believe the app or backend is being misused.

8. Availability and Changes

Study Quiz may be unavailable from time to time due to maintenance, provider outages, network issues, App Store changes, or backend limits. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features at any time.

9. Privacy

Your use of Study Quiz is also governed by the Study Quiz Privacy Policy: https://studyquiz-legal.pages.dev/privacy/

10. No Warranty

Study Quiz is provided "as is" and "as available." To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of accuracy, reliability, availability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Vincent Tietze will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, academic outcomes, exam results, or loss of use arising from your use of Study Quiz.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some limitations may not apply to you.
